By the time LiveCode updates 7.0.4 to be able to write for IOS 8.3 Apple will roll out IOS 8.4. Im sure they are busy with things like ringing the bell on the NASDAQ. Ho Hum.

I just auto update Xcode from the AppStore and download the LC supported version from the Apple Developer's website. Both can be installed at the same time, which makes it easy to keep functioning.
Re: LC 7.0.4 and Xcode 6.3 - once again broken?
I've also wasted a chunk of time. Is a solution imminent ???????????????

I do the same thing as Robl mentioned above. I keep several versions of Xcode installed.
You can either have them running from different folders, or rename each to a unique name-- I personally like the folder method.
This will keep you functioning without any waste of time going forward. Just point LC mobile preferences to the 6.2 version. Then run 6.3.1 when you need to access 8.3 devices.
In fact, IMHO, keeping multiple versions of all my dev tools helps to keep me sane (mostly).
If anyone needs Apple's manual download page, here is the link:
https://developer.apple.com/downloads/i ... name=Xcode

Re: LC 7.0.4 and Xcode 6.3 - once again broken?
One thing you will NOT want to do if you keep multiple versions of XCode, is to change the XCode app name once you begin development. (Example: XCode62 becomes XCode). There is a bug (15283) and Livecode will not be able to deal with the change even though you've update preferences > mobile.

Any ETA or progress on this issue @kevinmiller @robinmiller ?
Re: LC 7.0.4 and Xcode 6.3 - once again broken?
Hi all,
Sorry for the delay in getting this resolved - it's taken us a while to get the .5-rc-1 builds stable enough to release publically.
Both 6.7.5-rc-1 and 7.0.5-rc-1 are now available through both the auto updater and downloads.livecode.com. These both support Xcode 6.3 on Yosemite.
Warmest Regards,
Mark

I think I "'woo hoo'd" too soon.
Is the new 7.0.5 RC 2 compatible with xCode 6.3.1 (6D1002) or do I need to downgrade to xCode 6.3 to build for iOS?
Thanks,
Al.

Re: LC 7.0.4 and Xcode 6.3 - once again broken?
oh yeah- it's all good and working now.

Re: LC 7.0.4 and Xcode 6.3 - once again broken?
My app is crashing so often on LC 7.0.5 rc2 that I've tried to go back to 7.0.3, but now 7.0.3 refuses to agree with any versions of Xcode. I'm really stumped.
Re: LC 7.0.4 and Xcode 6.3 - once again broken?
I get an error if I either test or build any app that includes externals such as RevZip, PDF Printing, MySQl, etc in LC 7.0.4 or 7.0.5 in Xcode 8.2 or 8.3. I am so frustrated with Livecode. It has really gone down hill over the last several months. Bloated file sizes, 15 seconds to open an app that used to take 2 seconds, code that won't run, months of lag time in order to write to the latest IOS, incompatibility with Xcode. I started developing 25 years ago in Hypercard and followed to Metacard to Revolution to Livecode and this is the buggiest IDE II have had to deal with yet. Its a pile of poo.
