Hi
I want to install a number of plugins to use with LC 7.0.6 commercial.
I have recently re-installed Win 7 on to an SSD and have the default 'My Documents' folder on a separate disc to the OS.
I have installed 7.0.5 and 7.0.6 and neither has created a 'My Livecode' folder in the 'My Documents' folder.
I created the missing folders and set the location of plugins in LiveCode's preferences to G:/My Documents/My LiveCode/Plugins which is my default folder - no luck - plugins I put in here don't appear in LC.
I created the folders in the C:\Users\Ian\Documents\My LiveCode\Plugins for that not to work either.
When I put the plugins into the plugins folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\RunRev\LiveCode 7.0.6 it works as it should.
I restarted LC every time I made a change and I'm baffled by what has always been a straight forward installation process.
I'm sure its something trivial but I would appreciate any pointers to a solution.
Thanks

Re: User plugins not appearing in plugin list: LC 7.0.6 comm
LiveCode doesn't provide a way to choose a Plugins folder per se, instead providing a place to choose a "User Extensions" folder, which can include plugins, externals, and more.
Try selecting the folder containing your Plugins folder and let us know what happens.

Re: User plugins not appearing in plugin list: LC 7.0.6 comm
Hi and thanks for the quick reply.
I created an extensions folder here G:\My Documents\My LiveCode\LC User Extensions\Plugins and set the location in LC preferences. Restarting LC still only shows the 'default' plugins present in the installation folder.
I've been away from LC for a while but in previous versions (and I thought in v7 also) that a 'My LiveCode' folder was created in the My Documents folder into which plugins could be put. As I said I had to create my own such folder.
Strange. The simple answer is to put the few plugins I need into the installation folder but I was hoping to avoid this.
Thanks

In prefs,instead of this:
G:\My Documents\My LiveCode\LC User Extensions\Plugins
...use this:
G:\My Documents\My LiveCode\LC User Extensions
G:\My Documents\My LiveCode\LC User Extensions\Plugins
...use this:
G:\My Documents\My LiveCode\LC User Extensions

That did the trick! Thanks very much. I knew it had to be something straight forward.
Again many thanks.
