Test & Test Target Menu disabled

Post by surajts » Thu Jul 16, 2015 4:06 am

Hello,
I Installed Livecode 8 along with Xcode Version 6.4 (6E35b) on Mac. I tried everything that I know to try to make it enabled but I could not.

1. I have tried setting the Standalone application setting to IOS.
2. I tried to run the simulator directly from Xcode.

None of these things helped me to make the test & test target to be enabled.

Thanking you for your earliest attention.

I'm not sure that LC8 DP2 is working for iOS.

Plus, Xcode 6.3.2 seems to be the latest known by LC.

I'ld be happy if someone can tell I'm wrong...

Thierry

Hi surajts,
If you are a beginner livecode user you should stick to stable versions of LC 7.x or 6.x.
Version 8 is a developer preview, so not really for a beginner.
If you are an advanced users then disregard this post.

OK. I had the LiveCode 7 also on the Mac. Looks like the update did not uninstall the old app. I see the same issue with that version as well. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a video tutorial explaining this?

Like Thierry said, it looks like Xcode 6.4 is not compatible with liveCode yet.
Apple puts out new versions of Xcode monthly it seems. If you are not on the Apple developer program then it's a little bit harder to get older versions but see if you can download xcode 6.3.2.
