Are the new widgets supposed to work on Android?
I dragged a few widgets onto a card and nothing was displayed on the simulator.

Hi n.allen,
check the lower part of the "Copy files" card of the standalone builder settings, that should explain it

Re: No widgets on Android app
The bottom section "Include Extensions in Application" of the "copy files" item in the standalone builder does indeed have the included widgets in the list.
So I'm taking that as the required files are indeed included in the application.
Still nothing on the simulator.
I'm using Windows 7 and LiveCode Version 8 DP7 (from the recent codejam) and simulating on an android 4.1.2 device.

Re: No widgets on Android app
Hm, the way I understand this list is that you need to select all the widgets
in this list that you want to include in your standalone. No?
Did not try yet.
Since this is an early developer preview I am sure this will be somehow automated
or at least made easier in the final versions.

Re: No widgets on Android app
Hi n.allan,
Good to see another Win 7/Dp 8 user!
The Jam was silly for me bug, bug and bug.
I think you a very brave to attempt to get an app on a droid.

Re: No widgets on Android app
Yeah there is a few bugs on the dp7 on windows. I will have to sift through bugzilla at some point when I get a better internet connection. No great rush for widgets yet but hopefully they will be included soon.
