Alternative site for Android SDK

Post by KennyF » Thu Nov 05, 2015 8:15 am

I'm an old time DOS programmer and I have just recently found LiveCode which I'm learning mostly to stop the remaining brain cell I have from abandoning me.
I've managed to knock up the beginners calculator and built an exe which runs just fine in Windows 7.

But an Android app? Utter confusion.

My major problem is the speed of downloading the various bits and pieces that the Android APK needs.
Download speeds are typically between 1 and 5 KB/S.
The simplest download can take 5 to 6 hours and can't be left unattended as the Google site often drops out.

My main question.
Where, other than google, can I get and update the Android SDK.

Thanks in advance.

Kenny

On Windows, this is the correct link: http://dl.google.com/android/installer_ ... indows.exe

You don't need android studio.
