Just did an installation of LC 7.1.3.
When launching I get a dialog box that looks like an installation of the dictionary database.
Nothing happens after this but I can carry on working when moving the dialog box out the way.
Currently running on El Capitan ver. 10.11.4

Re: LiveCode Installation
Someone (sic!
) obviously installed Björnkes Documentation Plug-in
on your machine, which now tries to build its own documentation with
every new version of LC that you are installing.
And looks like it does not work as exspected.
Look for a plug-in named "bvg_docuX.X.rev", where X.X stands for the current version
of that plug-in. Delete or move it to another folder, restart LC and be happy.

Re: LiveCode Installation
Thanks Klaus
You'r advice worked after I removed LC and re-installed it.
The Popup re-apear after loading any subsequent plugins.
Where can I find out what a typical LC installation folder structure looks like on a Mac? The dialog box that pops that looks like an installation of “bvg doc 2” by Björnke von Gierke,
I want to attempt to manually either remove all files related to “bvg doc 2” or try to fix the installation manually.
Many Thanks

Re: LiveCode Installation
Hi Peter,
do you have a custom "plug-in/extension" folder on your hd?
The one you can select in the LC preferences -> "Files & ;Memory" -> "User Externsion"?
I guess this plug-in is lurking there for any new installation of LC
A "typcial" LC installation on the Mac is just the "Livecode XXX y.y.app" application folder.
Where XXX is Indy or Business? or Community and y.y the version number.
Best

Re: LiveCode Installation
Hi Klaus
Thanks for the help....got sorted.
Such a pity.
it looks as if this plugin "bvg doc 2" comes as part of another plugin lcStackBrowser2.
I really liked the lcStackBrowser2 stack browser.
Thanks
