On Linux (LC 7.1.4):

(LC 8.0.1)

A huge improvement.

Although there seems to be no way to make sure the output isn't
in a 6 or 7 point fontSize.

Did you set the font size preference for "Print Size" in the "Script Editor" section of LC Prefs?
