Can't save standalone - "In order to perform device builds,

I've been off IOS development for a couple of weeks. Today I've come back and started up LC 8.0.2 on OSX 10.11.6. Sometime in the last couple of weeks Xcode has updated to v8.0 and its now giving me the IOS10.0 simulator by default.

On LC - I can no longer Save as Standalone IOS - I get a LC error message "In order to perform device builds, you must have the IOS SDK 9.3 configured. iOS 9.3 comes with Xcode 7.3"

In Xcode 8.0 I've downloaded the iOS 9.3 simulator, but I'm still stuck. LC > Preferences > Mobile Support > iOS SDK is currently empty. If I choose Add Entry > Xcode, LC comes back to me with "The chosen file is not a valid iOS SDK, Selected XCode must have iOS among: 6.1 7.1 8.2 9.2 9.3".

So XCode 8.0 considers that I've got iOS 9.3 loaded, but LC doesn't seem to recognise this.

How do I get around this?
1) Is there a way to point LC 8.0.2 at the XCode 8.0 iOS 9.3 files; or
2) Do I have to roll XCode back; or
3) Something else?

I'm fairly sure Xcode 8 isn't supported yet. If you look at the documentation it specifies Xcode 7.3. Try rolling it back.

Hi all,

Xcode 8 is not supported yet, so you will have to download Xcode 7.3. Note that you can have as many Xcode versions installed as you like, so you don't need to remove Xcode 8 before downloading Xcode7.3.
In my machine I have a folder "Xcodes" with has subfolders "Xcode5_1_1", "Xcode6_1_0", ...

Thanks both. Will do as you advise. How do I stop XCode from downloading/installing new versions automatically? Sorry - but I'm a newbie to all-things-Apple
