LiveCode is not loading correctly

I keep getting an Error when starting LiveCode.
See attached image.

It shouldn't matter, but sometimes it does: have you removed the prefs file?

I've been looking for the Preference File but I can't remember where it is.
I know it is in some obscure folder somewhere.

On my Win box it's at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\RunRev\Preferences\livecode7.rev

I actually posted something about this before, but I just couldn't remember where this was.

It worked.
Maybe next time I'll look in ALEPO, it seems to work for politicians.

FWIW Monte's been doing some great work refining prefs handling in v8.1.1, so hopefully these sorts of issues will be a thing of the past soon.

I actually caused the problem because of problems that I was having working with a plugin.
I will post this in my Notebook for later use.

Ideally a plugin should never alter LC's prefs. Which plugin were you using?

I was having trouble with the DataGrid Helper plugin. But I don't want to blame the plugin. I was having trouble installing it, so I was the one who blew it.
I was removing LiveCode and doing some re-installs of LiveCode. There are times when you try to do too many things and get lost. That was me!

BTW the DataGrid Helper is pretty cool. As you can see, I like good tools and this is one.

Maybe you could add a couple minutes on that in your presentation on plugins at the next SoCal LiveCode meetup?
