Unable to change orientation of slider in LiveCode 8

I am using LiveCode 8.0.1 Community Edition with my Computer Science classes. In this version of LiveCode, I cannot seem to change the orientation of a slider. I drag a slider object onto the card and the go to the Property Inspector. There is an orientation property, but it is disabled, so I cannot change its setting from Horizontal to Vertical. This worked fine in LiveCode 7, so I was caught off-guard by this.

Is this a bug or is there a different way now to change a slider from horizontal to vertical?

Hi dvermes,

1. welcome to the forum!

2. I never used the popup in the inspector, I just drag the slider TALLER than WIDE
with the BROWSE tool and it changes its orientation automatically.
Just tested in LC 8.1.1 and it still works this way.

Thanks! That worked! I could have sworn I had already tried resizing the slider and it didn't change the orientation, but it's doing it now so I must have been mistaken.
