Resource Center Videos

Post by mtecedor » Fri Sep 04, 2009 6:46 pm

I am new in Revolution Media. I am trying to watch some of the videos in the Resource Center, but I haven't been able to play them neither in a MAC nor in a PC.

Does anyone know why? Is it possible that they are not available in Revolution Media? They play in a computer in which Revolution Studio is installed.

Thanks,

Marta

Dear Marta,

Probably, you need to make sure that the Techsmith codec is installed.

Best,

Hi Mark,

I have exactly the same problem. I did install the TechSmith codec.
But, however the player is running and I can hear the audio, the video won't be displayed.
When I overlay the player with another window for a second, the contents of the video windows are the same as part of the window that just has covered it before!

Any ideas?

Thx,
Arie

Hi Arie,

I had the same problem so I wrote to the Runtime support team. They send me the following link.

https://secure.runrev.com/support/faq/video-support/

For me the problem was that "Perian" (a Quicktime add-on) was interfering with the videos.

I am a mac user, but I think there is also a section for PC users.

I hope you find it useful

Marta

Hi Marta,

that was indeed helpful.
I managed to solve the problem!

Thanks.
