Connection to Oracle DB

Hi,
is there any chance to see an improved version of Oracle DB connection commands?
For instance, 64 bit drivers compatibility, possibility to call functions and get the result of it...

I heavily rely on db connection, so I pay for the commercial build of LC, but I find it to be too basic.
What do you think?
