troubles making standalones in Rev 4 on Mac

Post by mmiele » Fri Nov 27, 2009 11:23 am

Having troubles making standalones in rev 4 on Mac.
Sometimes rev hangs on "closing stacks" step, sometimes the standalone simply doesn't work. I've tested it on different Macs (10.5.6) with same results. Everything works fine if I use Rev 3.5.
Someone experienced the same problems or some ideas to solve them?

mmiele,

I really have no clue about the cause of this problem. I haven't seen it myself either, because I don't use Rev 4 unless I have to make a revlet.

Can you tell a little more about the stack? Is it very big in terms of data size? Does it have numerous controls? Are you using referenced images? (Really, I'm just asking, no idea whether it is relevant).

Usually, I build standalones in my desktop folder and this doesn't seem to fail ever. In which folder do you build the standalones?

Probably this is unimportant, but are there any password-protected stacks involved? Do you have selected "search for required inclusions" or "select inclusions" in the standalone settings?

Best,

Mark

It happens with different stacks, even very small (1 card, less then 10 objects). It doesn't happen every time and it seems as it was impossible to close a "start using" library.
