It means Ali Lloyd has been competing in a quiz/puzzle show on UK television called "Only Connect", and his team won in the episode aired tonight.
Rooting for the win! (But Ali won't be allowed to say yet, although it will have been filmed already.)

I also suspect Ali might be a bit tired today, after the MIT puzzle hunt in the weekend just gone.

Both of these things are indeed true!

Non-UK citizens can watch episodes semi-officially (they are uploaded by a US-based question writer) on youtube - here are my first two appearances:
