Why is my Project Browser full of files with a new Stack?

Every tutorial I read or watch shows just the files associated with a particular stack, but mine shows a very long list of libraries even with a new stack. What am I doing wrong?

It appears to be relegated to my Mac. When I open the same project on Windows, it's normal.

Hi.

On my work machine, apart from the couple of stacks I have open, are a myriad of what I believe are IDE stacks. Yet here on my laptop, the only stacks in the PB are the two that are open. I assume there is some property that I am not aware of, similar to the gadgetry in the message watcher, that controls that.

I almost never use the PB, but on the occasions I do, I would love to be able to filter those out.

in LC uncheck menu -> View -> Show IDE stacks in Lists

You most likely have turned on "Show IDE stacks in Lists" at some point. Simply make sure this is unchecked....

I am always amazed at how little I know about and use the menuItems in the menuBar in LC. A few favorites only.

Maybe, but what you don't know about in the menubar you certainly make up for in knowing what to expect from a return
