Learning offline?
I am about to spend several months without significant internet access. I would like to spend the time learning and practicing, as well as building some basics applications with, Revolution Studio. Are there any resources available that I can use offline (apart from the User Guide and Dictionary) to learn scripting, RevTalk, and the program? Or is the only way to learn via online? Thanks,Tom

Hi Tom,
you could load all these great stacks here:
http://www.runrev.com/developers/lesson ... nferences/
and work through them.
Should keep you busy for a while

Re: Learning offline?
Hi startdev,
welcome to the forum.
A little outdated but thorough introduction into Runrev is Dan Shafers book "Software at the speed of tought"
http://shafermediastore.com/tech_main.html
I think it is also offered in the Runrev store.
You might want to look at the conferences. Download the stacks at the left side and you have good examples to work on offline.

Also look at
http://www.sosmartsoftware.com/?r=revolution_index&l=en
the tutorials section in the middle of the page. They are well commented and if you download them they are good examples. At the bottom are links to other very good examples site for Revolution stuff.
Not to forget the examples build-in to Rev and the Revolution Resource Center (under the Help Menu). You can download for most of those a PDF and the sample stack.
That should give you something to work on.
Others may add their favorites for getting into Rev.
regards
Bernd
