Three colored buttons top left on dialog screens.

Looking at help/lessons, I notice the three colored buttons top left on some dialog screens. They are not there on my LC. Is that because they belong on a previous, discontinued version ? Or am I just doing something wrong ?

Indeed it does . . .

But I have always understood dialogue (or dialog) 'screens' to be this sort of thing:

Which, on MacOS, has no dots, coloured or otherwise.

The OP seems a bit confused between screens, windows and dialogue windows;
and until s/he tells us which s/he means we will see nothing but coloured dots before our eyes.
