Does LiveCode work on macOS Ventura? - YES
My new laptop came with macOS Ventura.
When I click the Test button, the simulator
screen updates with generic app icon,
but never loads the app.
Does LiveCode work on macOS Ventura?
Thanks,
David

LiveCode works on Ventura.
BUT that not what you really asked about.
You asked about mobile phone emulators.

Re: Does LiveCode work on macOS Ventura?
I open a iPhone simulator.
I then open my LC file.
My stand alone is set for iOS.
I then click on test.
It starts launching the app to the simulator.
The simulator blinks and then the simulator displays simulator icon with a generic app icon, but the app does not load.

Re: Does LiveCode work on macOS Ventura?
Keeping in mind your version of Xcode my be newer than what is supported - check your versions. If that's the case, you can download and link an older version by logging on to Apple dev centre, go to https://developer.apple.com/download/all/ and filter for Xcode.

Any misunderstanding round these parts has come about because there is a mismatch between the thread title and the question.
Re: Does LiveCode work on macOS Ventura?
LC 9.6.9 stable was released today and should fix the incompatibility with Xcode 14.

Re: Does LiveCode work on macOS Ventura?
I downloaded the latest LC 9.6.9. I have the green indicator under "Mobile Support, iOS SDKs. But it will launch the program in the Xcode Simulator. The simulator blinks and I then see a generic icon that has my program title, but it never loads the program. The "Standalone Builder Progress" displays "launching Program ..." message and keeps going forever. I have to shutdown LC for it to stop it. Is anybody running Ventura and able to get the emulator to launch properly?
By the way, I can not test the build capability of LC 9.6.9 on this new computer with Ventura yet either, because when I make an iOS profile, it keeps giving me an identity error. If anybody knows how to copy the Apple Development certificate and my private key from old computer to my new computer, that would be great.
I invested $2800 last week for the new laptop so I could use LC to publish my app on the iOS platform, but it seems that there are still large challenges in that path. The LiveCode Forum has been great support over the last 10 years and I would like to give each of you a BIG hug for all your help.
Thanks,
David

Export/import developer account: https://help.apple.com/xcode/mac/current/#/dev8a2822e0b
That may solve the launch problem. I'm sure you've already done this, but make sure you have the correct test device selected (the simulator.) Also launch the simulator and wait for it to fully load before trying to test.

Re: Does LiveCode work on macOS Ventura?
jacque,
Thanks so much for the information on Export/import developer account.
Not being able to load my app to the simulator is not a show-stopper, since I can still use the simulator on my old computer.
BUT, not being able to compile my app to a iOS format is a show-stopper!
I have been exploring your provided link for the last 1 1/2 hours and I cannot find any pages that have anything about exporting.
What could I be doing wrong?
David

I have a developer account.
Do I need a separate Xcode account?
