Kresten Bjerg

Post by FourthWorld »

I'm saddened to report the passing of one of our longtime colleagues, Kresten Bjerg. This is the notice provided by his family through LinkedIn:
Dear friends, colleagues and former students of Kresten,
Kresten passed away at 20.02 on the 21st of July.
The funeral will take place in Søndermark Kirkegård's little chapel (Roskildevej 59) on monday the 5th of august at 15.00.
Afterwards there will be served coffee in Petersens Familiehave (Pile Allé 16). Everyone is welcome to come and say goodbye.
Kind regards,
Kresten's closest family

I was helping him with his with his Phenomenalog software recently, and through our correspondences I had a chance to gain an even deeper appreciation for the depth of this thinking and the kindness of his spirit. He will be missed.

I worked with him in 2002.

Sadly his clever idea: of an iconised interface for pensioners, never really got the traction it should have.

Let's hope his next adventure is equally interesting.

This was sad news indeed. I only conversed with Kresten a few times, I certainly wish his family my sincerest condolences.
