Re: HyperStudio Stack Scope
Using the HS Demo 5.2 I was able to copy-paste all the constituent images into GIMP and export them as PNG images: which is more than I could do with . . .

What was ungettable at was a Movie clip:
- -
Of a woman who kept popping out of the coffin looking for her shampoo.
SURELY a 'scope' thing is meant to be used to, among other things, extract components from a HyperStudio stack so one can reconstruct it in an xTalk IDE.

Hi Richmond,
When I circle back to HyperStudio Stack Scope for the Mac I will rev it to handle movies in the spirit of continuous product improvement. I moved on to HyperStudio Stack Scope for the Apple IIGS but for some reason it is giving me some trouble. Also started a SuperCard Stack Scope app.
I did expect these utilities would be of use by XTalk developers for various purposes.

Re: HyperStudio Stack Scope
Well, not only should it extract movie and audio clips, it should also be able to identify and extract all images: as at the moment all that really happens is it shows screen shots of constituent cards.

Re: HyperStudio Stack Scope
OK, back with HS Demo on MacOS 10.7, and I CAN copy a movie file: the problem is where to paste the thing.

Re: HyperStudio Stack Scope
If you change the SUFFIX of an HS stack from .stk or .stack to .zip you can simply extract ALL the resources including movie and audio clips.
- -
On MacOS 10.7 via the Terminal an unzip command was sufficient without changing the suffix.

Re: HyperStudio Stack Scope
This is all very cool stuff Mike.
Thank you for building it! I particularly like the HyperCardIIGS parser. I never had an Apple II GS ( but some how I still own an Apple IIGS CRT monitor
)
Anyway, back in the day I never got to play with HC II GS. That is i until recently, running it in GSPlus emulator. I had trouble getting the multi-floppy installer to install the full thing, but I got enough installed that it's working any way.
I did have one minor problem with HC IIGS scope, it wouldn't maintain aspect ratio on the PNG images it would output from color icons in those stacks. But just the fact that it converts them to a modern image format is great! I can always correct the aspect ratio in an image editor.
Anyway this stuff you're doing is far more useful for people wanting to revive their old xTalk projects.
Thanks again.
