Sorry to reanimate that issue, but all the advice I was able to locate refers to the pre-release version of revMobile.
I am enrolled in the iOS Developer University Program and have successfully tested a few XCode-projects which run perfectly on my iPhone/iPad-Simulator. With the older prerelease mobile LiveCode stack, one file did work one time on the simulator as well (I had not tried more often, since I did not suspect any troubles to arise). Now, when I use 4.5.2 I get the error msg "device build requires a provisioning profile". I have checked the path to my developer folder - it seems ok. But for the setups for creating an iOS-app I don't get a choice for a profile in the pop-up menu. I do not have a physical iPad yet to connect, but would like to see my Stack in the simulator. Since it had worked one time on one file, I must have messed up something since or the new version behaves differently. Any idea what is going wrong?
Thank you, -lupuss.

Re: iOS Developer - provisioning profile error
Hi Lupuss,
I think it is best to ask support. You can pretty much narrow the problem down to the Standalone Application Settings -> iOS not showing your provisioning profiles. So there must be something with the installation and Livecode not finding the profiles. For me it worked and I have no idea how livecode gets at the profiles.
Profiles are a mess...
Kind regards
Bernd

Thank you Bernd, support resolved the issue.
Re: iOS Developer - provisioning profile error
Hi,
How did they resolve the problem?

Re: iOS Developer - provisioning profile error
The provisioning profile was not necessary for the simulator, but is required by Apple for the physical device. So Apple lets you set up your own profile through the iOS Provisioning Portal with guidance through the Program User Guide (available from the front page of the iOS Provisioning Portal), which then in turn is used in LC.
