Newbie Question

Post by advcomputer » Sat Mar 26, 2011 4:55 pm

The reviews of this software have been excellent and before I start playing around with the code base, I need to make sure that It can meet my needs. So here I go;

1: Can application's created for IOS be deployed via the App Store?

2: Is there an embedded database that can be used with this code for mobile devices. For instance I have a database with 10 tables and 500 records that will need to be accessed via the mobile device. Is there is an embedded database can it handle it. (Usually I would just create a mobile enabled website and go that route, but the specs call for an embedded database)

3: When is the Android kit going to be live and will it support 2.2 or 3.0 etc

Sorry for the dumb questions, but before I invest the time I just want to know that it can handle my needs.

Thanks in advance,

Jeff G.

Hi Jeff,

1. Yes.
Look for "Sheep herder", the first app from RunRev, and a lot more LiveCode apps are already in the store!

2. Yes.
Starting with version 4.6, LiveCode for iOS supports SQLite!

3. Sorry, no idea.

Best

Klaus
