Focus question

Post by kpeters » Sun Jul 08, 2007 1:32 am

Mac OS X:

I have a button between two fields and want the taborder to be:

first field
button
second field

I have the layers set up accordingly and the button's "Focus with Keyboard" to true, yet when I tab around, the button NEVER receives focus.

Also, I have the same problem with option menus and they don't even have the "Focus with keyboard property"....?

What might I be missing?

TIA,
Kai

buttons do not receive keyboard focus on mac's, unless the user has set the correlating accessibility setting.

These are OS wide settings, and can be set under <apple sign>/System Preferences... and then choosing Universal Access.

Thanks - I had been there before and did not find it. This time I checked everything and - lo and behold - these settings are tucked away under "Mouse" and not "Keyboard"!

Pretty obscure!

Thanks,
Kai
