Just started out with LiveCode a few days ago. I have good practical experience in 'C' and introductory level competence in things like VB & C++. I am familiar with IDE's and integrated debug functions.
With this level of knowledge it is just a transition that I require.
The User Guide verbosely and meticulously documents the features of the IDE, and acts as a detailed guide for people who have never programmed before. Language features in the User Guide are treated in a similar way.
What I really need is:
1. A concise summary of the key features of the language
2. The language reference in PDF form for bedtime reading
The LiveCode Dictionary is useful, but does not supply either of the above.
Thanks!

Re: Documentation feature request
Thanks for that. Just took a look at your website btw, Cosmic Osmo is not available from GameTap, but it is available from Steam.
By a stroke of luck it happens to be packaged with the Myst games & I have been looking for a version that runs on Vista

Re: Documentation feature request
They moved it? I had no idea. What/where is Steam?

Re: Documentation feature request
Well, I couldn't find it on GameTap anywhere.
Tried to post the link here earlier, but I'm getting the "Your account does not have permission to post links or domain/page references" message.
Google "Steam games" without the quotes and it should be the first result.

It's the solution to drm, and not a bad one in my eye, but whenever valve goes belly up, all your steam games will cease to function. It's a brave new world.
