Comparing LiveCode Server vs AwareIM

I need to develop web applications, I´m using AwareIM with MySQL so far and I´m studying LiveCode Server options. do any of you have experiences on both LiveCode Server and AwareIM that I can contrast to take a decision?.

I had a quick look at the AwareIM site and it seems that the LC server offers the same capabilties as AwareIM at a much lower price. Surely, the two work quite differently. While AwareIM seems to provide an IDE, LC server is rather a replacement for PHP.

I doubt that AwareIM is worth the price of 1600 dollar. My experience is that for advanced programmers, script-less systems are too limited to be useful. If your goal is to make web apps for mobile platforms, check out one of the many free solutions.
