Low Pass Filters

Post by gjn1w07 » Fri Sep 23, 2011 2:15 pm

Hi there,

I was wondering does anyone know if LiveCode has the capability to apply a low pass filter to a sound file? I had a look in the documentation and couldn't see anything. Also, if it can do that, can it do it quickly on the fly? Just to give a bit of context, I'm going to be playing a word, first through an extreme low pass filter and then easing off slowly so each successive play of the word becomes clearer.

If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great!

Hi Greg,

sorry, this is not possible with the build-in means of LiveCode.
You will need (to write) an external for this.

There is a commercial "sound" external for LC, but I have no idea if this will do what you need:

Thanks for the reply. I had a look at that, but I it doesn't look like it does what I need.

Thanks anyway!

Greg
