Why can I edit the Rev app objects?

Post by petero » Tue Sep 18, 2007 9:52 pm

It seems that I have done something that allows me to actually edit the Rev app objects. I can see scripts and move items in the interface around. Can someone let me know what I may have done?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Peter,

you probably checked: "Revolution UI Elements in Lists" in the menu "View" or "Revolution UI Elements in Lists" in the "General" part of the Rev preferences.
So all Rev elements appear in the "Application Browser" and can be edited (which is only recommended for the experienced user ;-))

So uncheck this option and you are on the "safe" side :-)

Can edit Rev interface

Post by petero » Wed Sep 19, 2007 10:44 pm

They are, and were, unchecked.

That does not seem to be the problem.

I can actually click on an icon in the menu bar and it becomes selected just as if it were an object in my stack. Very odd.

Any other ideas?

Petero,

You must have done someting that caused the modes of some windows to change. From here, I can't see what that might have been.

Have you tried restarting Rev already?

Does this mean that your copy of Rev is now completely useless to you? If so, did you re-install Rev?

Best,

Mark
