xCode 4.2 and iOS5 SDK

Post by SteveHanlan » Tue Oct 18, 2011 11:59 pm

I just installed Xcode 4.2, Build 4D199, from the MacApp Store and it includes iOS 5.0 SDK, but not iOS 4.3 SDK.
(I needed this as I have updated my iPad and iPhone to iOS5)

I can no longer create a standalone App for iOS, as Livecode requires iOS 4.3 SDK

Anyone else encounter similar problems?
Anyone know a solution?

I have sent a tech request to RunRev support

cheers

Steve

I loaded LC 5.0 as well but I did not uninstall 4.6.4. I left LC 4.6.4 installed as well and have been using 4.6.4 to build standalones until I get the path to the new 5.0 SDK figured out.

I haven't had a problem opening the same stack up from within both versions (4.6.4) and (5.0) so as a fall back you could back up your stacks by zipping them, re install LC 4.6.4, and use that to build out your Ap until you figure out another way to go.

I had the same issue and emailed Tech Support and eventually had to dish out the $200 for the upgrade :x

As you say, forking out the $200 solved the problem.
