Flipping splashscreen. Another LC 5 issue? RESOLVED

After rebuilding a landscape-only app in LC 5, the splashscreen now flips upside down about half way through launch with the home button on the right, but not on the left. This wasn't happening in builds made with 4.6.4. Anyone else having this problem? Any solutions?

I guess note to Support is in order.

On a good note, at least the strange behaviour on the non default orientation went away!

RunRev is aware of the problem and it is fixed for the 5.0.1 update.

Anyone have any idea when 5.0.1 will be released? We can't upload anything to the app store with the splash screen flipping like that, and the app store will reject you if you only allow one orientation (they did in our case.) So we're dead in the water until we get this.

No, but I suspect it isn't imminent (hope I'm wrong). In addition to this problem, PDF printing is broken and there are some Icon file oddities when building standalones for the iPad. I bit the bullet and submitted an update despite the flipping splash screen. It was approved by Apple. If your apps are broken by iOS 5 I'd suggest doing the same to avoid losing your user base.

only RunRev knows when 5.0.1 will be released.

But I have a hunch that it will not take too long. RunRev is on a fast cycle to address known issues and add new features.

This problem was certainly a bizarre outcome once upgrading from 4.6.4.

We tried numerous changes to various settings would not resolve the problem either so really good to hear that this is slated for a "fix" in the forthcoming version 5.0.1.

Has anyone else discovered another strange anomaly with flipped attachments to emails? We have a screenshot in an iPad App which used to work absolutely fine with the correct orientation as an email attachment. However, attachments are now flipped 180 degrees and presented upside down! This could be related to the splashscreen issue of course. Hmmm.

Important Update

The latest version of LiveCode 5.0.1 is available to download and all of the issues related with flipped screens on launch and exporting of images to the photo album and as attachments to emails have been resolved.

Good news all round and this now means Apps can be submitted for review without the visual problem!
