Can't see the tutorial videos

Post by FrankR »

I'm trying to watch the tutorial videos on a Windows XP machine. I'm getting audio but no video. Any clues?

You probably need to install the ensharpen codecs.
Try to run the installer again, at the end it asks if you want to install them.

It definitely sounds like there was a codec installation issue - but I'm not sure why it shouldn't be working if they were installed along with the installer.

The video tutorials are downloaded to:
My Documents/My Revolution Media/Resources/Video Tutorials
and you should be able to launch them from within there in either the QT Player or Windows Media Player.

Could you try this and see if you have any joy?

I'll put it in on the list to investigate at our end, it might be that the codec isn't installing correctly from Rev's perspective.

This worked for me. Thanks. I was looking for the videos myself, but I looked under Program Files/Revolution Media.

Not sure why it didn't work inside the product, but at least now I can continue. Thanks again.

Another clue

Later last night, I decided to run WindowsUpdate on the machine.
Since the reboot, the videos are now displaying inside Rev.
