Yikes! Installation of 2.81 ruins Adobe and other

Post by Simon »

Hi,
I've just been fighting with a problem with rev and tried reinstalling with 2.8.1. Now my Adobe products don't work???
And the Change/Remove buttons don't show up in Add/Remove.
This is on Windows XP sp2.

HELP!

Thanks,
Simon

OK, so the problem was with the uninstaller... it wacked out Windows.

Workaround: Don't uninstall just rename the directory.

How can i make Adobe Reader display the first page of .PDF when previewing a file in windows explorer? When i run Adobe Reader, click open and browse to where i stash my PDFs it will create a thumbnail of the file instead of displaying the file symbol. How can i make this previews permanent?. Where does windows saves this preview images?

Hi Hyfrenaa,
The thumbnail view in Windows Explorer you get by selecting View in the menu bar.
Now I have noticed that the selected view doesn't always stay selected in Vista even when using Folder Options.
