I'm afraid I have gotten sloppy and screwed up my LiveCode installation. I've "uninstalled" all the Livecode, Revolution files I could find in places like the Library Folder etc and installed a fresh copy of LiveCode 5.5 (dp 1) and 5.0.0 to no avail. Is there a guide to find all the pieces of past installations? I've looked in the LiveCode User Guide and searched the forums.
My system:
Mac OS 10.6.8
LiveCode 5.5 (dp 1)
LiveCode 5.0.0 build 1460
I've done as much as I can to optimize my OS using Disk Utility and Onyx for OS X
Symptoms:(for all versions of LiveCode)
1) The message box won't respond to any lines of code like beep, hide the selobj, etc
The rest of the message box seems to work fine, all environmental variables and global vars of my stack(s) are displayed etc
2) When I try to open the script editor, it always takes two attempts before it will open. Once it's open, it only takes one attempt.
3) The variables stop loading In the variable tab of the script editor after the 1st 3 environmental variables and after a sec or two, they disappear. The tab for variables doesn't highlight when clicked, but the 3 vars show for a few sec and then disappear. I once got the error message:(Type)do:error in source expression, (Object)variables, (Line)dotStatement,(Hint)global $DAZSTUDION_4-64. I've uninstalled the Daz Studio and searched on how to rid my system of that environmental var but can't find it.
What should I try next?
installation a mess?

Re: installation a mess?
Ah! You installed Daz Studio... The two can coexist but... you need to be aware of (and patch) the following issue: http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.ide ... atch=daz3d. Uninstalling Daz Studio doesn't remove the problem.$DAZSTUDION_4-64
Re: installation a mess?
Thank you!! Thank you!! The alteration to the revDebugger.rev file worked.
I'm just mad at myself now because I didn't search the forums for Daz Studio.
Hopefully RunRev will fix this soon so others don't waste hours of time.
