Pinch help (NOT for images)

Post by cenglish » Wed Aug 01, 2012 5:40 pm

I put this off for a while because I couldn't ever get it down and had more important issues to see about. However, now I'm back and lost about how to get this to work. Here's what I have:

I have 3 groups on one card. They are set up like a compare items screen. I want to allow the user to pinch-in on a group and have that item be removed from the comparison. But I then want the user to be able to pinch-zoomout and allow the user to go to a new card for just that item to show more information on that item. I've tried playing with the pinch lesson and still can't seem to get down what I want. I'm kinda lost to how to capture when there's two fingers touching within a specific area (the single group) and then how to tell if they are using the zoom in motion or the zoom out motion. The closest that I could get it was capturing two touches within a group, but couldn't get the hang of how to tell which gesture they were using on the group. The pinch lesson is a good lesson, but not what I'm looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If anyone finds this and has a similar issue, I was able to resolve it myself and have an example stack I can share that might help.
