Distribute App, but not on App store?

Post by timlitos » Fri Mar 01, 2013 1:49 pm

Hello,
I am sorry if this has been discussed before but I couldn't find any existing topics on the subject. I am just wondering if there is a way to give a client your app without putting it on the app store. Many of our clients want to use apps internally, but not let them out to the public. Is this possible with LiveCode?

Thanks in advance!
Tim

Hi Tim,

I think that is not a limitation of LiveCode but an Apple's constraint.
You can install your app on 100 devices for test but i know it is possible to have a custom server.

You can use the AirLaunch plugin to send a link for download directly your app on the device

Tim

This link takes you to through a step-by-step approach for "ad hoc" distribution.

As Jean-Marc noted, this is limited to 100 but be enough for your needs!

Hope it helps,
