Mobile Resolutions

Post by arnaubc » Fri Apr 19, 2013 11:23 pm

Hi everyone,
I am new to LiveCode. I'm starting to create a mobile app for iOS and Android with LiveCode Community Edition.
The first problem I have found is the different phone screen resolutions. Right now, I'm creating the iPhone version. It is really difficult for me to start the app if I can't solve this problem.
Can someone help me to fix this? I've tried AltMobileResizer, the geometry manager...

I'm really worried about this. How can I create my app for iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 4/4S and iPhone 5?

Thank your very much!!!

Hi arnaubc,
Welcome to the forum!

What is the problem with using altMobileResizer? Are you encountering errors?

Hi Simon,
the problem with altMobileResizer is that I tried all the options in the plugin but when I use iOS simulator with iphone retina, elements are not resized, they are really small. When I try the simulator with the 3Gs it is fine.

Could you help me?
Thanks!!

Hi,
Sounds like you do not have altMobileResizer working correctly. It was made with retina in mind.
