iPhone Configuration Utility problem

Is there a secret to installing a provisioning profile on an iPhone using iPhone Configuration Utility for Mac that I don't know about? The device is listed and the app is ready to be installed, and the provisioning profile is in the library, but I can't get it to appear under the provisioning tab for the device, so installation can't take place. I'm testing this on my daughter's phone so I can confidently instruct other beta testers how to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I'm trying this: www.diawi.com/index.php Worked easy as pie on my iPhone. I'm waiting to hear from some others to see if it worked for them. If so, I will be ecstatic.
