Hi,
I find that using a computer mouse causes RSI so I use a graphics tablet instead. I use a Wacom Bamboo Pen with Mac OS-X 10.8 and am using the most up to date driver (5.32.2).
The tablet is fine in all the applications that I use except the code editor in the Livecode IDE. Passing the pen through approximately 2c.m. above the tablet causes the code to scroll five or six lines . This occurs when the pen is raised or dropped.
I have tried various settings but am unable to curb this unwanted behaviour. Does anyone else use a graphics tablet - if so what make and any problems ? Any thoughts on what the solution might be?

Re: Problem with Wacom Bamboo PEN CTL-470 and the code edito
Hi,
This is probably related to the bug I posted a while ago (must get around to seeing if anything was done regarding it) to do with Dragging a file across (but not dropping on) the IDE editor. The editor then starts to move the caret whenever the mouse is moved after that. Even after dropping the file somewhere else (e.g. the finder) the effect occurs and the only way I found of getting things back to normal was to restart Livecode!
The editor is a little bit buggy (to say the least!) - lets hope some good coders who are playing with the open sources can find out a way of making it better.
Cheers,
Dave

Dave,
Thanks for the info. I have just tried dragging a file with no ill effects. I will try and locate your bug report as I wonder if they fixed the problem you reported and added the fault I am getting, I should say the Livecode V4.48 does not exhibit the unwanted scroll problem.

Hi,
I have received an email from Wacom who admit that they know of the problem, so Livecode IDE is in the clear.
