Is there a way to convert a PDF file that was created using the open printing to PDF to an image file format to allow posting to FaceBook or other site that requires an image? I want to use MergSocial to interface with FaceBook.

Checkout "export snapshot" and "import snapshot" in the dictionary.
Export will take a picture of controls not even visible on the card.
