I doubt anyone did a physical simulation of water-visuals in LC, because the amount of animated objects is too limited when using this technology.
However if it's only about presentation, then the best way is to use a pre-rendered animation. So simple show a movie, animated gif or a button of which you set the icon to different images.

It is possible to display a browser window with an epic HTML5 & WebGL Water Simulation. No one would build a water simulator in Livecode because thats not what its for.
Sure you can make one work, its math. But it would be slow after so many particles.
