Toolkit App

Post by toastedhippo » Mon Oct 14, 2013 10:50 am

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this and firstly, am really impressed by this product/environment. I hope to learn much from the tutorials and from other people.

I decided to give Livecode a try because I want to make a very simple app that displays a series of "how to" documents for a charity. I have about ten documents, each with about six sections including a couple of graphics. I want to have a simple main screen with a button to click into each "how to" so users can navigate to the right section.

Firstly, am I in the right place, and secondly, how easy do you think this is to do? Any tips and tricks?

Many thanks in advance.

Toastedhippo.

Hi Toastedhippo,
Welcome to the forums.
...am I in the right place
If you mean the right forum then Yes. If you are in Bakersfield California then No. :)
how easy do you think this is to do
That is a slightly more difficult question to answer, short answer is Yes. It depends on your current level of understanding programming.

Here is a start for you:

That will get you started on using cards and buttons to navigate between your documents.
