Placing groups on a new card...

Post by Dixie » Tue Oct 29, 2013 12:37 pm

I have a, let's call it a 'Main' group... this 'Main' group has a number of controls within it. It also contains a second group, 'subGroup'

I set the backgroundbehavior of group 'Main' to true, but, the second group "subGroup' does not appear on a new card when created.... all the other controls that make up the group "Main' appear...

Any thoughts ?

Hi Dixie,

just tested here and of course the "sub"-group is also part of the group "Main" when placed on a new card,
resp. when placed automatically on a newly created card.

Hmmm...!?

Best

I have not understood... Are you saying that when you make a new card ... group 'Main' carries the 'subgroup' for you ?

Here as well. As advertised, all objects, whether controls or groups, contained within a "larger" group will be copied to a new card if the backgroundBehavior of the main group is set to "true".

Are you sure the subgroup is in fact a child of the main group? Try:

answer the owner of group "subGroup"

Exactly! And this is correct behavior, no matter if "backgroundbehavior" of the sub-group is checked or not.
