Problems viewing RunRevLive.13 simulcast video

Hello,

I purchased the log in to the RunRevLive.13 simulcast which should give me access to the recorded video but I am experiencing problems viewing the videos which are streamed using Ustream. Initially I put the problem down to a slow ADSL internet connection but recently I have started testing a 4G connection which gives me download speeds in excess of 7 Mbps. I won't bore you with my fault finding attempts but I am interested in what others are presented with when they view the videos. I am presented with a page of video players which may or may not populate with a still from the video. Hitting play may play an advert but when the advert finishes nothing else happens. At no time am I prompted for a password. I suspect that the password / advert mechanism is failing in someway and I have reported the problems to support. However Heather says that my report is the only one they have of this nature which points to a problem local to my computers / internet connection. My next step is to take a laptop to my local library where they have a high speed internet connection and conduct some tests there.

So please write about you successful viewing of any of the RunTRevLive.13 video.

Initially, I had similar issues, but didn't report it as it seemed intermittent. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. I chalked up the experience to ISP issues. My only gripe is that RRL 13 videos are hosted with Ustream, which inserts the very very annoying adverts (even in the middle of videos). I wouldn't mind as much for free media content, but for videos which require payment to RR for access, the adverts are most unwelcomed.

I was prompted for a password at least in the first attempts to access the page, but rRecent access no longer prompts for the password, so I assume a cookie saving the authentication.

As I compose this reply, I am watching one of the videos from RRL.13 and its playing as expected.

Thanks for your reply. I agree that the adverts are very annoying especially as we have paid for the video as is the fixed size of the video that is either to small or to large at full screen, not forgetting that the player ratio is wrong causing the video to be stretched along the horizontal. Its interesting that your problems went away, it sort of mirrors my experience where I am able to watch some of the videos but not others.
