Filed with text and blending

Post by kevin11 » Tue Jan 17, 2012 5:22 pm

Hi,

I have a background image on a card, and on top of that a scrolling field. I'd like the scrolling field to have a colour wash, and also to have a variable blending over the background card image. However, blending also reduces the visibility of text in the field. Is there a type of blend that will allow the transparency of the field colour to be varied, but will maintain the colour/brightness of text ?

If not, is the solution to have a background image on the card, on top an empty field containing colour (with blending), and on top of that an overlayed field with text and no blending, but the top field set to not-opaque. That does seem to work, but is there an easier way I am missing ?

Thanks

Klaus

Hi Kevin,

sorry, but blending etc. will always effect an object/field AND its content!
So your workaround is the right way to go :D

Best
