Tutorial on custom controls?

Dear LiveCoders,

Would you have any suggestion of a good tutorial about dealing with groups -- more specifically, dealing with custom controls?

I am trying to create a custom option menu for Android, with ICS looks: a line below a transparent button, an arrow in the right, etc. Simon did one and posted a screenshot in the forum. I am trying to use scalable graphics in this one, but I'm feeling somewhat lost, and there's a lot to do: how can I use the clones of such button in the app? How to set a label for the button within the group? How to deal with messages sent to the group? Etc etc etc...

Hi Fabricio,
Sorry for the delay.
The attached uses images for the buttons on the left and liveCode objects on the right.
It is more iOS than Android but just change the background and border colors of the "buttons".
