How to configure for compilimg

Is there a place I can go where I can read about configuring the compiler environment? When trying to compile "Display a Website & Control Navigation" from the App Academy to Windows or Mac I get "There was an error while saving the stand alone application. Build failed for Windows I/O error" and when I compile to Android I Get "There was an error while saving the stand alone application. Could not compile application class"

Got this sorted by using a previouse stable version of Livecode.
