Samsung Multiwindow Support?

Post by iam » Thu Feb 19, 2015 5:19 pm

Most of the tablets made by Samsung released in 2014 (The Galaxy Tab 4, Galaxy Tab Pro and Galaxy Tab S range for example) have an outstanding feature when you can run multiply apps at once, commonly two. I'm making my first Android app using LiveCode and have the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. I'd really like it if any of you could find some line of code that assembles any form of multitasking on tablets that supports this feature (I'm referring to Android and not Windows 8.1). If the way of adding that (if there is any) that was a bit too advanced for me, the beginner to coding, then could you add the code that you used so I could copy and past it into my own app. If there isn't any way, then maybe that's an idea for any future update?

Thanks for reading and I hope that you can assist me in this important issue! :D

LiveCode doesn't currently support OEM-specific extensions to Android like Samsung's multi-window feature. That said, with LiveCode 8's ability to work directly with OS APIs, it may become possible in the coming months.
