Reshape polygon questions

I'm going nuts trying to get detail right on polygons. When reshaping I have no accurate control over where the points end up. Are there any add on tools that will enhance the graphic capabilities of Rev?

ALSO, why does Rev start adding points to a polygon I am reshaping instead of moving existing points?

Maddening. Please help.
