Ability to enter text in Livecode 8

On 64-bit Linux there seems NO way to enter text into a field.

There is no "Content" field to enter text in the Props palette,
and, when one clicks in browse mode inside the field itself
the entry cursor blinks once and then disappears.

Ok; I'm goofy and I didn't spot the one-line "Content" thing on the first card of the Props Palette:

Doesn't stop it from still being "insufficient" compared with the version 4,5,6 & 7 version.
