MY RevMedia keeps locking up ?? SOLVED!!

Post by smash » Thu Jul 23, 2009 11:53 pm

everytime i go to write a scrpt, my RevMedia locks up.
i can not close the script page down, i can pring any page of my stack up, but can not use anything at all, and the scrpt page just stays up.
to close the RevMedia down, i have to shut off my computer.
i had just downloaded the RevWeb, would this have anything to do with it???
could someone help me please??.

I had the alpha seem to lock up on me a few times, but it wasn't a complete lock. I could still save, so I did, then I force quit it. You didn't mention what platform you are on, but on OS X you can either go up to the apple menu (preferable not while RevMedia is the frontmost application) and choose Force Quit there to select and kill it. Or you can control-option click it's icon in the dock and chose Force Quit there - twice if need be. (If the first time doesn't do it, doing the command again does a more forceful quit.)

I can't help you if you're on Windows (hasn't locked up on me there yet) or Linux (I haven't tried it there), but maybe someone else can.

In Windows XP, I simply use the Task Manager (Ctrl + Alt + Delete) and go to the Process tab and look for Revolution.exe. I then end it's process there and that's how I close a hanged up/frozen Revolution. Image
