Web Deployment Guidance

Hi,

A beginner using Studio 4.0, the web deployment option offers wonderful possibilities. But, I'm not sure yet how to use it to its full capability.

For example, can a stack which writes to and reads from text files in a desktop version somehow be deployed to the web and continue to function this way? Could the accompanying text files (in the desktop version located in the publication folder) being placed online and a script written (if necessary) to locate, write to and read from them?

Many more questions... In addition to the v 4 Help Guide pages on web deployment, is there a more detailed and specific web deployment help guide or materials I could consult?

Any suggestions, leads appreciated.
